About the artwork
For some time now I have been following a pair of short-eared owls. The more I watch them, the more I wonder. Before they come to breed they are hunting hard to develop the necessary reserves.Not only the out amaze me but also the behaviour of people.
Cyclists , runners, cars, buses, mopeds etc etc pass by. All these people seem to take no notice of their presence. They don't seem to be aware of anything and hence they seem to have no interest in their surroundings. Sometimes, a short-eared owl flies across the road and cyclists and the like approach from both said. Despite the birds skimming right past it sometimes at 10 metres they see nothing.
I suppose they also haven't noticed that there is no more lark to be heard. Well just hope they don't start nesting in the grass as it is production grass that is cut every 30 days.
