A dolphin rises from the deep blue to the surface by Laura Georgi Tier- und Ladschaftsfotografie

A dolphin rises diagonally upwards out of the dark water, towards the light.
Soft rays of light cascade down from the surface; otherwise, the picture is empty. The
blue is deep and almost black at the edges; the animal stands out only because of
its light-coloured belly and the glint of light on its back.

Dolphins breathe consciously. Unlike us, their breathing is not automatic;
they must actively initiate every single breath. That is why they always sleep using only
one half of their brain, whilst the other remains awake, controlling their buoyancy and
bringing them to the surface in time to breathe. A dolphin never sleeps completely.

This is precisely the moment captured in the image: the ascent to take the next breath.

As a wall art piece, the motif is calm and serious. The large dark area makes it
one of the few underwater images that also work
in darkly furnished rooms without being overshadowed. It is suitable for living rooms, bedrooms,
hallways, offices, lofts, hotels, lobbies, medical practices and waiting rooms. On acrylic glass
, the rays of light really come into their own.

A gift for divers, free divers and anyone who likes tranquil, dark motifs.
