Sunset at a beautifully drawing cloud sky over the 'palm village' at Petten in North Holland. The wet sand at the tide line perfectly mirrors the piles and the coloured cloudy sky. The 'Splash' against the back post on the left is an unexpected bonus while photographing, the onshore wind created a high surf.
The palm village in Petten consists of 160 piles on the beach, symbolising a long-washed village of 10 houses and a small church.
