Bob has been photographing since the 1990s. With a small sidestep to video filming so between 1998 and 2001 he eventually chose photography. The fine details you can capture with photography just give Bob more satisfaction than the bulk of information you usually get with filming. That hobby of those days has grown into a part-time day job, with Landscape, Architectural and Concert photography as its main themes.
Because Bob generally does not shoot commercially or on commission, but purely on his own inspiration and feelings, this gives him enormous freedom to create the very images that make him happy and that he fully supports.
Together with the other members of the photography club Purmerend, Bob regularly exhibits in the Dijklander Hospital in Purmerend. His best works are also regularly exhibited in the Jaap van Praaghuis and Rusthoeve, residential centres for the elderly in Purmerend.
Bob's photography focus has recently shifted more towards concert photography. As house photographer for the pop venues in Purmerend and Alkmaar, he records the coolest concerts and performances for these organisations.
