About the artwork

Walking along the paths of the Camino Francés to Santiago de Compostela.

In spring 2024 (April - May), I walked from Saint-Jean-Pied-Port in the south-west of France through the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela. A walk of about's 1000 km through the Spanish countryside with beautiful views, small villages and big cities. It is the classic pilgrimage route through Spain with a great, friendly atmosphere along the way, plenty of accommodation and delicious food. One of the reasons why this route is so popular, I think. Also because of the great diversity of landscapes and the many historical and monumental sites. For me, the starting point is Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, because I wanted to get to Roncesvalles via the Pyrenees, the first stop being in a beautiful monastery. Several routes meet in Roncesvalles and you then continue your route via Pamplona, Burgos and Léon to Santiago de Compostela.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
