For me, photography is about capturing those rare moments when opposites touch and together tell a story. This shot was created on a summer evening, right at the point where day was giving way to night. Threatening clouds were gathering over the horizon, while the sun was casting its last golden rays across the landscape.
For me, the tree in the picture symbolises resilience: pliant in the wind, but unyieldingly rooted. It catches the light and the dark at the same time, forming the bridge between the power of the storm and the calm of the stillness. I deliberately chose a composition in which the tree is not central, but the viewer's gaze is guided towards the glow of the sky.
What touches me in this image is the tension between menace and calm, between transience and beauty. It is my wish that this picture, once on the wall, not only offers an aesthetic image, but also becomes a reminder: that even on the border of chaos and silence, something beautiful can emerge.
