I took this photo in the Veluwezoom national park near Rheden. The nearest known major town is Arnhem. This heathland is known as Posbank, officially called Herikhuizerveld. I took this photo in spring, as the juniper is still blooming a beautiful yellow and the leaves on the trees are still fresh green. The sky was even still beautifully blue. Between the trees and the juniper bushes there is also grass and heather. It is a beautiful part of the Veluwe. The few trees in the photo are oak trees. When I took this photo, I was standing between a few hills in a kind of valley. The piece where I took this photo is mainly heathland, oak trees and juniper, there are a few other types of plants but they do not dominate the area. If you look closely between the trees in the photo, you can see another narrow path running across this field. The area where I was comes quite a lot of recreational visitors to enjoy the terrain. The Veluwezoom is quite popular with tourists and day-trippers.
