About ‘Time anchored’ by Ben De Winter

This photograph captures a moment of quiet surrender in a forgotten corner of nature. An old, partly sunken boat rests motionless in the calm waters of a tree-lined lake. The hull, weathered and rusty, still sticks out just above the surface - like a reminder of a past slowly being absorbed by the water. The red paint has flaked off, the metal dull and scarred by time, giving the boat an almost sculptural quality. All around, the green of the reeds and trees reflect in the smooth surface of the water, creating a visual symmetry that enhances the tranquillity of the scene.

The composition is carefully constructed: the boat is the visual anchor point, while the natural surroundings envelop the image in an atmosphere of melancholy and stillness. The light is soft and diffuse, muting the colours and enhancing the textures.

This picture is not just a record of decay, but a poetic meditation on time, silence and the beauty of forgetting.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
