About ‘Silence below the summit’ by Ben De Winter

In this hushed winter scene, the snow-covered cemetery of Flakstad stretches out in serene simplicity, surrounded by the rugged mountainous landscape of the Norwegian Lofoten Islands. The headstones rise in straight rows above the soft white, like silent sentinels of transience.

Behind the graveyard is a simple wooden building with a black roof and green facade, exuding an almost homely warmth in contrast to the bleak surroundings. The massive, snow-covered cliff rising from the background gives the scene an almost mythical scale - as if nature itself were watching over the field of the dead. Misty mists cover the mountain peaks, enhancing the sense of isolation and timelessness.

The use of colour is austere: white, grey, stone, and the unexpectedly vibrant green of the facade. This picture captures not just a place, but a feeling - of calm, reflection and the quiet power of nature in the far north.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
