I'm Ben - self-taught landscape photographer from Belgium, in search of light and stillness since 2016.
At 45, I took a camera in my hands for the first time. A late start, perhaps, but proof that it's never too late to follow your passion. What started as an exploration of different genres - from portraits to artistic nude photography - eventually led me to the vast world of landscape photography. That's where I found my passion.
Nature is my muse. I am drawn to the silent power of rivers, the call of distant mountain peaks, the mystery of misty forests and the rhythm of waves hitting the shore. These moments touch something deep inside - something I try to capture in images that speak of peace, solitude and the subtle dance between emotion and environment.
By day, I work as an engineer. This duality - precision and poetry - often flows together in my work. I like to combine the organic with the industrial, creating visual stories where nature meets human creation.
This journey is about more than photography. It is about wonder, discovery and the joy of learning to see the world anew. Thank you for walking a bit with me.
