The Rose, the most famous flower among all flowers. The flower has been around for millions of years and was already much loved for its beauty and fragrance by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians in ancient times. Since the second part of the 16th century, the Rose also came to the Netherlands. The flower is very popular all over the world and is therefore often used in bouquets, placed in gardens as a shrub or climbing plant or given individually.
Symbolic meaning
When you think of the Rose, you think of love. The flower that stands for love and romance. Each colour of the Rose has a different meaning.
