The golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is one of Europe's largest and most powerful birds of prey. With its impressive wingspan of 1.8 to 2.3 metres, a sharp hooked bill and strong talons, it is a masterful hunter. Its brown-gold plumage and distinctive light golden tones on the back of its head give it a majestic appearance. After waiting for hours, he finally came flying in. This bird of prey is found in mountainous areas, especially in Spain, where it likes to soar high above rocks in search of prey. It mainly hunts medium-sized mammals such as hares, rabbits, marmots and sometimes larger prey such as young deer. With its enormous strength, it can even take on heavy game.
The golden eagle lives in solitude or in pairs and builds its nests, also called eyries, on inaccessible rocks or tall trees. i was very surprised when i was able to capture it through my lens on the camera. my hands were shaking with excitement because i knew it wouldn't be long before it would leave again. as it also unfolded its wings, the photo became amazing.
