The Mountain Collection | The bright winter sun illuminates the mountains one last time before sinking behind the ridge.
The sharpness of the pointed ridge is softened by the sun's misty glow. The drifting snow on the peaks softens the scene even more. This photo is even a little flou due to all that sunlight, but that's just where the magic is.
I made this image in the Tamar Valley in Slovenia: a dead-end valley surrounded by sharp, pointed mountain peaks. I waited until the sun just did not disappear behind the mountain peaks and captured it on film.
The result is an atmospheric, somewhat mysterious photo with blue and white highlights.
