During my tour of Kyrgyzstan, on the way from Lake Son Kul to Naryn, we also drove through a beautiful mountain pass, the Teskey-Torpok Ashuu Pass, also known as the "33 Parrots"pass.
The pass started is 3140 metres high and is a popular, scenic route for off-road vehicles and tourism because of its stunning views and road challenges.
And it was definitely challenging, but how much we enjoyed it.
After every turn you had a different view, some turns were quite tight, the road surface was gravel, the road was winding and occasionally steep.
The pass ended at the Torpok waterfall, at an altitude of 2680 metres.
So over a distance of 5.4 kilometres, we had descended almost 500 metres, quite tough.
