About the artwork

Syria - This picture shows one of the most important sacred buildings of antiquity: the Temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria. In the background rises the almost rectangular main building of the temple, which was dedicated to the Mesopotamian sky god Baal. In the foreground is a labyrinth of broken columns, capitals and wall elements - a chaotic mosaic spanning thousands of years The temple complex was the spiritual centre of Palmyra and reflected the cultural diversity of the city - a synthesis of Roman, Greek and local traditions. The preserved structure shows the former splendour of the sanctuary, which was long considered one of the best-preserved examples of ancient oriental temple architecture - until it was severely damaged by targeted demolitions in 2015.this photo captures a moment in history that is irretrievably lost - and makes it impressively visible. It is not just a glimpse into the past, but an appeal to the cultural awareness of the present. A silent monument of light and stone - ideal for rooms that breathe history.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
