About the artwork

Amidst the dry grasses of Namibia, between boulders and thorn bushes, you come across them rather unexpectedly: feral domestic donkeys, once introduced, now a natural part of the landscape. This trio - two adult animals and a younger one - stand curiously in the open veld, their ears pricked up, their eyes fixed directly on the camera.

The scene seems almost staged - and yet it is a pure portrait of nature. The animals' gaze is open, direct, friendly - and with a pinch of scepticism. The intense afternoon sun bathes the fur in warm colours, while the surroundings appear calm and vast.

Feral donkeys are survival artists in Namibia. They have adapted to the harsh climate, live independently and yet always in social groups. This picture tells of precisely this adaptability - but also of character, attitude and a touch of pride.

A motif that surprises, touches and makes you smile. Ideal for rooms with personality - and for people who recognise the unusual in the everyday. These donkeys are more than just supporting actors - they are little stars of the savannah.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
