About ‘Spring in the Tannheim Valley’ by Marcel Hechler

I’d climbed the Bschießer on New Year’s Day, in the middle of winter. This hike was my first one since then – and it took me up to the Einstein in spring 2023.

Once I reached the top, the whole of the Tannheim Valley opened up before me, and I simply stopped in my tracks. Deep below lies Tannheim, nestled in fresh spring greenery, with its scattered houses, meadows and narrow roads winding through the valley floor. Behind it rises the mountain range, still covered in snow, whilst the wooded slopes lie in between, already dark green. It was precisely this transition that captivated me: spring down below, winter still up above.

On closer inspection, in the foreground I can see the ancient rocks of my vantage point, a few last remnants of snow in the crevices and a tenacious mountain pine clinging to the summit. Above it all, a shifting sky, at times overcast with grey, at times with a streak of blue.

For me, it is an image that radiates both vastness and tranquillity – and at the same time the power of the mountains. After the wintry Bschießer, this first spring summit felt like a breath of fresh air.

On a large wall above the sofa or in the living room, this panorama brings the mountain world into the room – calm, down-to-earth, and full of longing.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
