The picture shows a characteristic section of the Roman House in the Park an der Ilm in Weimar. The Roman House was built at the end of the 18th century under the direction of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and served as a retreat and source of inspiration. This historical depth was a central impulse for my work. I was fascinated by the combination of architecture, nature and cultural heritage - an interplay that I wanted to capture in a calm, almost timeless composition.
The atmosphere of the picture is deliberately calm and open. It is intended to convey a feeling of vastness, serenity and cultural contemplation. The clear structure of the house contrasts with the organic softness of nature - a field of tension that invites you to pause and reflect.
