With his weather-beaten face, he looks out over the stormy sea. Back then, he and his chambermates were chasing the record of 91 days in the passage from New York to San Francisco. He remembers the roaring seas at Cap Horn. The ship was incredibly fast, and designed by Donald McKay. They were doing well until a calm off the coast of Ecuador caused them to miss the record by 2 days.
That's how it was back then. Wistfully he stands at the sea, his eyes sparkle, and he asks himself: Where has the time gone?
Since my childhood I paint and draw. Early on I was also interested in technology and history. Like many artists, I am very rarely satisfied with my works. One strives for perfection, tries to at least come close to it.
