With light, smooth strokes, the female hen harrier soars above the field. Her wings seem to play with the wind, tilting briefly each time as if she were performing a dance in the air. Below, the grass rustles, invisible to the eye but audible to her keen ears. While playing, she looks for the slightest movement: a mouse running too hastily, a field mouse sitting still for a moment too long.
The air carries her effortlessly, and no trace of haste can be found in her flight. Yet behind every graceful turn lurks a purpose. Her eyes shine brightly as she scans the landscape. The field seems her stage, the prey her invisible audience.
