A white background (high key) with the subject being a dough whisk, spiral shaped, from an electric mixer. The whisk is laid out so that when you look at it a heart is visible in the center. Does this mean "love for baking"? You may fill in this question yourself.
I love simple things, overview and atmosphere and wanted to take a minimalist photo in high key of an everyday subject. After some poking around in the kitchen drawer, I came across the dough whisk. I placed this whisk on a white background and set it against a white background. The emphasis is not entirely on the center, so the heart is not in focus in its entirety. I opted for depth in the photo, so the focus is on the front part of the whisk. Like a corkscrew, you are drawn into the image. The slight shadow under the whisk shows that the subject is not floating but is actually lying on a surface.
This image obviously does well in a kitchen. I think a modern sleek kitchen is a great place for this image. But maybe you think very differently.
