A mother and her infant son climb a hill together at sunset. Because he has grown tired, she takes him on her arm. She helps him reach the top of the hill to enjoy the beautiful view.
Now he still needs his mother's help, but later, when he is older, he will no longer need it. He will have to learn all this himself by trial and error.
For one child the "top" may be a little lower than for another. That is not important. As long as his or her life path is prosperous with many happy moments and as few setbacks as possible.
There is a lot of symbolism in this picture. Because of the presence of the woman with her child, we do not see an ordinary sunset but a sunset with a story, a thought.
During a walk I saw this mother at the foot of the hill thinking whether she would walk up with her child or not. She decided to do it. For me as a photographer, this was a pure happy moment. This picture was taken a few years ago, but I never looked forward to it.
