Noordwijk aan Zee's striking white lighthouse, located on the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard, dates back to 1923 and is the successor to a wooden one from the 19th century. With its six floors and 108 steps, the 25.5-metre-high tower, with a light height of over 33 metres, offers stunning views of the North Sea and coastline. Originally built as a reconnaissance light for shipping, the tower is now a national monument that can be climbed on Sundays during the summer months and can also be visited by appointment for groups, making it an interesting sight highlighting the maritime history of the seaside resort.
