About "Niles Vandenberg (Kensington)"

by Rob van Dalen Photography

About the artwork

Niles Vandenberg is the drummer for Kensington.

Kensington formed in 2005, after the school band 'Quad' broke up, as guitarist Luuk Verink left the band,[1] singer-guitarist Casper Starreveld, bassist Jan Haker and drummer Lucas Lenselink decided to continue as Kensington together with new guitarist Eloi Youssef.

A new drummer was found in the person of Niles Vandenberg, who previously played drums with the Noordwijk band Griffin. During the Stuck in a Day Festival on February 16, 2008, he literally took over the baton from Lucas. About this change, singer-guitarist Casper Starreveld said: "We were looking for someone who would make us better as a band and who shares our ambitions. Niles exceeded our expectations and with his national and international touring experience he is a great asset to Kensington".
