Mario Goossens (Hechtel-Eksel, April 8, 1972) is a Belgian drummer. He won a Music Industry Award as best Belgian musician in 2011.
Goossens is best known as the drummer of the Antwerp rock band Triggerfinger. He started his career with Hoodoo Club and also played with extreminator, Hooverphonic, Noordkaap, Monza and the British band Winterville. As a producer, he collaborated on albums by The Black Box Revelation, Jacle Bow, Steak Number Eight, Anton Walgrave, Team William, Roza Parks, Rusty Roots and The Damned and Dirty. He also played as a session musician on numerous songs for Arsenal, Tom Helsen, Milow, Creature with the Atom Brain and Cowboys and Aliens, among others.
In 2019, Goossens started the musical project Sloper together with Dutch drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk (Golden Earring). In 2020, the debut EP Sloper was released on the independent record label Suburban.
Since mid-June 2021, Goossens has also been playing live concerts with Bazart.
