About "Natural sandstone graffiti"

About the artwork

I myself was very moved and incredulous to see what colours and patterns a sandstone can have.

I stood in one of the many caves in the Nabataean city of Petra in Jordan and looked up at the ceiling.
You can still see the fine marks that the tools of the trade have left in the sandstone. There is an offset in the middle of the picture, followed by a completely new pattern of colours.

The colours of the sandstone range from powerful and bright red to white, purple and black.

The pattern of colours in the picture reminds me of graffiti on a wall. Except that this was not painted artificially, but are the structures of the sandstone. A real joy for any geologist.

The picture appeals to different clienteles. Whether it's geologists or people like me who love travelling and want to bring a piece of the memory of a past trip to Jordan and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra into their home.

With its vibrant colours, the picture is a real eye-catcher in the home and certainly no ordinary work of art.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
