Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Mount Cook near Lake Tekapo in New Zealand’ by Carmen Kuijper

I took this photo on New Zealand’s South Island, near Lake Tekapo. In the distance, you can see Mount Cook, the country’s highest mountain. It was a clear day, which makes the mountains and the lake look crisp and fresh.

I find the combination of the sky, water and mountains very beautiful. The sky is a lovely blue and the water is almost completely smooth, giving it a peaceful feel. But it is the mountains that really give the image its character. The mountain range in the background, with its white snow and dark rocks, creates a strong contrast with the blue water and sky. They make the landscape impressive and give the photo a lot of depth.
