About ‘Fire ears on cliff in New Zealand’ by Carmen Kuijper

I took this beautiful photo of the lighthouse while we were sailing past the impressive rocks in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. The lighthouse is called Cape Brett Lighthouse. It was built in 1909, 116 years ago.

The warm light falling on the grass and rocks gives the photo a warm feeling, while the rocks provide a contrast. When I took the photo, I thought the lighthouse looked a bit lonely, but now that I look at it again, I don't think so anymore.

The lighthouse has a story. What might the lighthouse have experienced on the edge of the cliff, and what might it have seen? Enjoy!

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
