About ‘Lehner Waterfall in the mist’ by Marcel Hechler

Whilst on holiday in the Ötztal valley, I hiked up to the Lehner Waterfall. When I arrived, the whole valley basin was shrouded in high fog — the upper edge of the waterfall and the larch trees above it vanished into a white haze, as if someone had cropped the top of the picture.

This lent the scene a sense of tranquillity that one wouldn’t expect from a cascading waterfall. Below, the water crashes over a bed of dark, wet boulders; to the left and right, moss and slender trees cling to the rock face. If you look a little longer, you’ll spot the individual treetops at the top of the cliff edge, still rising above the mist.

To me, the image captures the effect the mountains have when the weather isn’t on their side — not spectacular, but intimate and introspective. It suits spaces that are meant to convey atmosphere without dominating: a bedroom, a study, an entrance hall with character.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
