Peace in the simplicity of the moment
In a warm spot lies an iguana, its eyes half-closed but still sharp. He seems to be doing nothing, and therein lies the magic. His breathing is slow, his skin shines in the sunlight. Passers-by rush by, birds fly by, leaves rustle in the wind - but the iguana looks alone, without judgement, without haste. It is as if he wants to remind us that you don't always have to be moving to be present. Rest is not in running away, but in staying put and observing the world. A quiet lesson in calmness, wrapped up in an animal that is often underestimated. As he lies there, he merges with nature. He has nothing to prove, he simply ís there. And maybe that is exactly what we sometimes forget: that watching, breathing and being, can be more than enough.
