It was suddenly winter again in March, March stirring its tail. My fruit trees, already budding, were suddenly white with snow. Quite a special sight, but how special? It snows more often and I have several photos of trees in the snow. So it was time for something new. I overexposed the photo slightly to create a high key effect. The white of the snow on the branches blends imperceptibly into the background. The only thing that still stands out is the trunk, brown-green in colour with a whip of orange. I think it has become a slightly surrealistic photo, the snow on the branches a white blurred (bokeh) background and the trunks of the still young fruit trees standing out against all that white.
Until my retirement, technical photography was an important and very fun part of my job, the work I did for about 45 years. Taking, editing and sharing photos with others was a very nice part of my job, which is why I want to continue.. Read more…
