This photo, taken in the rugged and pristine Achadas da Cruz area of Madeira, shows why this island is often called the Hawaii of Europe. The steep cliffs covered in vibrant greenery, the delicate waterfall sliding down like a silver thread, and the dramatic heights rising against the blue sky - this is Madeira at its purest.
The natural lines of the landscape lead your gaze upwards, where light and shadow play over vegetation that feels almost tropical. You can almost hear the murmur of the waterfall and the whistle of birds as you look at the image. This picture exudes tranquillity as well as adventure, and fits perfectly in an interior where nature and freedom are allowed to speak.
