About "Good For All 1 - Pink Sarong"

About the artwork

In 2007, I made a report on organic cotton production in Maharashtra (India), part of which was published in the Dutch and French Happinez and a large article in Libelle Balance magazine.

While walking through the cotton fields, I took photos of women picking cotton in their colourful sarongs. In a small village on the way, the sarongs were hanging outside to dry. This pink sarong stood out and grabbed my attention. The delicate embroidered fabric in bright pink contrasts beautifully with the robust and weathered wood. A great contrast, so is life in India, where there is both extreme wealth, and poverty. What touched me during this trip is that the women looked so beautiful and well-groomed despite their poor living conditions. And also had a happy and contented look. The Hindu faith plays an important role in this, in which karma and acceptance go hand in hand.

The reportage was commissioned by Goodforall, in collaboration with Solidaridad.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
