This painting shows the magnificent goat "Anton" from the Kaiserstuhl. Precisely painted on a fluid art background. This means that the background is expressionistically abstract and was created by me using the pouring technique.
The painting is part of my animal series and is characterised by a unique fusion of realism and abstraction. Animal motifs depicted with astonishing accuracy are set against flowing, abstract backgrounds that lend each work a dreamlike quality.
Animals were and are symbolic protagonists in the visual arts!
With my expressive animal paintings, I would like to draw more attention to our wonderful animal world! Without them, our creation would be worth nothing. That's why all animals are worth protecting. I like to highlight individual animals with strong colours. My naturalistic depictions of animals, often on fluid art backgrounds that I have previously created with acrylic paints using the so-called pouring technique, leave a lasting impression. This combination of naturalism and expressionism is extraordinary and very rarely seen.
"Anja Semling's love of the animal world can be felt in every brushstroke; she has a unique ability to bring the elegance and individuality of the wild animals depicted to the canvas using a special technique with acrylic paints, brushes and palette knife. Her paintings are full of colour, brilliance, life and energy and clearly show the artist's deep connection with her animal motifs."
