About "Floral blue"

About the artwork

I photographed this work on a wooden panel of an old beach house - faded by sun, salted wind and years of exposure to the elements. What was once a functional piece of painting has now become a graphic landscape full of stories. The flaking paint, the cracks in the wood, the subtle discolourations: they are scars of time, in which beauty lies.

What struck me was the way chance and nature combine to form an image that radiates strength and transience at the same time. The atmosphere is salty and melancholic; it evokes memories of the sea, silence and endless horizons.

In this work, I feel a kinship with the wabi-sabi philosophy - the Japanese idea that beauty lies in imperfection and impermanence. It is also reminiscent of the material sensibility of artists like Cy Twombly or the hushed power of Rinko Kawauchi's photography.

What makes it so special as wall art is that it is a fragment of something bigger - not literally, but in feeling. It captures the essence of a place, of a memory, without naming it. A work that opens up to interpretation and enriches a space with tranquillity, texture and depth.

Not just an image, but a moment - preserved, cracked, and all the richer for it.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
