About "Farewell"

by Thomas Wörner

About the artwork

Historical motif from a series of 3 images - from the early beginnings of 3D computer art (over 25 years old)

With a motif like this you are guaranteed to make a statement.

Gates made of light mirrors,
water, fog, loose objects made of
yellow light mirror

This is what the artist sees in the motif:

This picture is aimed at all those who cannot let go of their partner after a difficult separation.
cannot let go of their partner. I myself created this motif during such a separation phase.

We say goodbye, often without actually wanting to. But that's what makes saying goodbye so difficult. We walk this path of separation together for a certain distance, but then
but then we have to part ways.

Often someone stays behind and looks on for ages. The mourning continues. The motif is intended to encourage us, precisely because of its cool sobriety, to take a step back and still have hope.

If we endeavour not to become embittered, the glass gates
the glass gates of our heart remain open and others can move in. Let's give it a try!

This work of art is now the third generation of the original motif. Unlike the first
version, the resentful aspect of the blue figure is completely missing. Only the stages of
letting go, but not the holding on.

My life is also only an
