About ‘Eys railway station’ by Nop Briex

On 6 May 1900, the station was opened under the name Eijs-Wittem as the first of three Eijs-Wittem Standard-type stations in Limburg. However, the station building had been in place since 1880. The station was expensive to operate and was therefore closed on 15 May 1938. The station building still exists today. Until the end of the railway's operation, additional trains stopped at Eijs-Wittem station several times a year. These were pilgrimage trains carrying pilgrims on their way to the monastery in Wittem.

In 1995, the railway was revived. The ZLSM runs steam trains between Kerkrade Centre and Valkenburg. The little station in Eys, now privately owned, has since reopened under the new name Eys-Wittem station. The operation of Eys-Wittem station is limited to the ZLSM's operating days.

A beautiful and elevated station near the Eyser Plantage with its Italian poplars landscape. Well worth a drive there.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
