Some places have been photographed an enormous number of times. Like the Scheldt quays near Het Steen castle in Antwerp. Then the trick here is to do just a little differently from other photographers!
This photo was taken from the pontoon, facing south. I loved seeing the reflection of the sunlight in the river with the skyline of the new Zuidwijk in the background. And to top it off, there were seagulls circling around.
This photo also shows how Antwerp is changing: steady construction continues on the city, while the birds watch everything.
Here I was watching the seagulls: look how sharp the big bird in the middle of the image is, you can see its feathers beautifully!
And also: from above, the sun's rays shine on the birds and the river, as if there were a spotlight on them!
Ah, there is so much to see in Antwerp!
