About "Silhouette of roller skater in action, in Athens"

About the artwork

The Olympic Park in Athens is a much-photographed place. So it is extra challenging for a photographer to put something original here. You have great buildings here, but of course also huge car parks. And when there are no events, they are empty. The moment for a surprising photo. Here my attention was drawn by the shadows of the fencing and the amazing backlight. A geometric pattern of fencing and shadows emerged. Nice too that the sun peeks around the corner just behind the cypress tree.
Yet this scene was just missing something, which gave it an extra touch. I kept waiting for about ten minutes until someone happened to pass by. And sure enough, a roller skater appeared nicely as a silhouette in the image!
To give the image more character, I opted for a black-and-white finish. This way, the lines and silhouette of the athlete stand out better.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
