About "Bee-eater | South Africa | Kruger Park"

by Claudia van Kuijk

About the artwork

The bee-eater is a species of bird known for its colourful plumage and its specialised diet, which consists mainly of insects, especially bees and wasps.

They have long, slender beaks that allow them to catch their prey in flight.

The colours of bee-eaters vary greatly depending on the species and sex, but they generally have bright and striking colours, such as green, blue, yellow and red.
These colours not only serve for camouflage, but also play a role in attracting mates during the mating seasons.

Bee-eaters are found in different parts of the world, especially in warmer regions, including the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The Kruger National Park in South Africa is one of the largest game reserves in the world. The park covers an area of about 19,485 square kilometres.
