About ‘Avenue in autumn forest’ by Gert van Eck

This lane in autumn was photographed in the forest around Vorden in the Achterhoek in October 2024. The leaves are already starting to turn colour and the misty atmosphere is clearly visible at the end of the path.

The Achterhoek is known for its scenic landscape. But there are also many estates privately owned or owned by Natuurmonumenten or Gelders Landschap and Castles. From the eastern side of Zutphen, a beautiful area full of estates and forests stretches past Vorden to Lochem.
Not far from here is the De Belten estate where there is a publicly accessible pinetum that is well worth a visit.

I started photography when I was fifteen, back in the days of rolls of film and darkrooms. Professionally, I like to photograph for companies, people working on something and also just customised photo shoots or just portraits.
My autonomous work consists of reportage, travel photography, nature photography including landscape, animals, weather and atmospheric phenomena and sometimes a little astrophotography. I mean the night sky, but without telescopes.
