A new tower in the water as the city's gateway! This tower is made up of several monumental buildings from Amersfoort's city centre. From the old city hall dating back as far as 1782 at the bottom, to more recent architecture from the last century. I enjoy playing with the city. I also make cityscapes where the buildings are next to each other. This time I stacked the old buildings to create a monumental tower that could fit into this era. The ship docked to the left of the tower is the Hydrograph from 1910. It was a Royal Navy ship used to search the seabed. Originally built as a steamship with two coal-fired engines, the ship was later converted to diesel. Otherwise, it is entirely in its original condition.
