I took this photo in the Leuvenum forest in the municipality of Ermelo in the Veluwe. The water you see is the Leuvenumse beek which is also called the Hierdense beek. The water in the brook was quite high when I took this photo, causing a number of trees in the forest to stand in the water. To the right of the photo, you can see another clump of a fallen deciduous tree, probably a birch. In this piece of forest there are mainly birch trees even though there are some conifers among them. To make this photo, I used three photos with different exposures, creating an HDR photo. Furthermore, I chose to take this photo standing upright so there is peace in the photo, you can see the height of the trees right away. It was early December when I took this HDR photo so it was not particularly warm. The little green you see is from the moss on the trunks and from a few conifers. The leuvenum forest in a mixed forest so there is variation.
