I took this photo on the Cyriassic field near Harderwijk in the Veluwe. When I took this photo, the heather was blooming purple. Because of the cloud cover, the pine was in the sunlight and the trees in the background were still shaded by the clouds. The trees in the background are also pines, they are actually coarse pines what you see. Because the foreground as1 tree are in sunlight, the clouds and the rest of the trees look a lot darker. Furthermore, I chose to crop this photo afterwards to a 16:9 format, in post-processing I improved the colours.
