The Gannet, a fascinating bird. Recognizable by its yellow ochre head and beautiful streamline. With a wingspan of 170 to 180 cm and a weight of up to 3 kilograms, it drops into the water at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour. The name probably comes from the Celtic name Ian ban an sgadan which means white herring bird.
