Birds of Europe
This collection consists of bird photographs I have taken in different places across Europe. Since my biology teacher training, my interest in birds has continued to grow. Where I might once have mainly looked at the landscape, I now notice the small movements, colours, postures and behaviours of birds. That makes every encounter special, whether it is a chaffinch on a branch, a snowy owl in Sweden or puffins on the Norwegian bird cliffs. This series brings together birds from different landscapes: forests, mountains, coastal areas and rugged northern nature. Some images are calm and almost silent, while others show movement, character or a direct gaze. For me, this collection shows how varied European birds can be: sometimes common and close to home, sometimes rare and impressive, but always part of a larger story of nature, travel and wonder.
