Wildlife of Scandinavia
This collection consists of wildlife photographs I made during travels through Scandinavia. The series brings together different encounters: European brown bears in the Finnish wilderness, puffins on Runde in Norway, a snowy owl in the forests of Sweden and other animals I came across along the way. Since my biology teacher training, my interest in animals and birds has continued to grow, making me look more consciously at behaviour, posture, habitat and atmosphere during my travels. What makes this collection special to me is the way Scandinavia still gives space to wild nature. Some encounters feel quiet and almost delicate, like a bird hidden among greenery. Others are intense and impressive, like a brown bear moving close through summer grass. This series shows the rugged, calm and sometimes unexpected side of Scandinavia: nature that does not feel staged, but real.
