A bubble of water on a bird's feather, waiting for the last ray of light to shine through it and illuminate the crystals in the background. This photo, patiently constructed not in the studio but in front of one of my windows, is similar in intention to all the others in this series, of which I am only showing a small sample on this site. There are no photographic criteria, the aim is simply to evoke an emotion through light and colour, in the belief that every moment of happiness (even the smallest things) contributes to the fulfilment of a simple, happy life. I say to those who look at it, what I say in music when the notes slide through my fingers, what I experience when, as a violin maker, I build my instruments in true and simple love: beauty makes you happy, it is a sure path to happiness and photography is just one of the means!
