About ‘the twin sisters’ by SlowDad Art

The twin sisters

The inspiration for this painting came from an encounter I had a long time ago with two twin sisters. They looked very much alike physically, of course, but after spending some time with them, you could make out little details that made them unique. One was a bit more open and jovial, while the other was reserved and discreet. It was like seeing a single person split into two different personalities... The idea was there, but it took me a long time to try and capture the atmosphere that prevailed at the time. I also chose to let the viewer interpret the painting through their own associations rather than telling the story. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks again to all art lovers. We need more art in our world today!
