The beauty of water is that once it starts moving, it carves its own path through the world; it goes where it will. It does not necessarily take the path of least resistance, nor does it always flow downwards. It’s lovely to say: ‘go with the flow’. Water doesn’t care whether it’s raining or the sun is shining, or whether there’s anything lying beneath the surface. It flows its own way from A to B. It smooths the rocks and carries loose objects along on its journey. Always in its own flow, slow or fast. It carries on on its own terms.
